Natural perfumery that’s not boring. I’ve been wearing these two by @mariacandidagentile for the past couple of weeks. I have Cinabre and Barry Lyndon. Barry Lyndon is an aromatic scent that feature artemisia, the same herb that gives absinthe its distinctive flavor. Cinabre is more me, it’s all zingy spiciness and resins coating an ancient rose. I can’t get enough of it. Maria Candida is also known for her use of incense. I didn’t get any of the perfumes that had incense since I only wanted these little travel sizes and these are the ones that @shopindiescents had in stock at the time, but I’ll be looking for those the next time. This is a brand out of Italy, so the perfumes might be easier to sample and smell if you’re outside Canada. I love Jo Malone fragrances so I thought I’d give the new Honeysuckle & Davana Cologne a go. It’s their “happy new floral” with the following notes:

💐Top Note: Davana

Davana, a green plant with hints of liquorice, brings vibrancy to the fragrance and a touch of a fruity note.

💐Heart Note: Honeysuckle

Honeysuckle, with a radiant floralcy and imbued with accents of honey, brings a rich character to the heart of the fragrance.

💐Base Note: Moss

Evocative of undergrowth damp with fresh rain, the verdancy of moss cushions the base of the fragrance in earthy, woody warmth.

I can be super sensitive to fragrance and this is a touch strong from initially but warms nicely. It’s a very warm floral but I expected it to be a bit brighter from the honeysuckle and instead and sensing some rose floral which is not my fave. Although it may not be for me it does smell really nice and has some great staying power (4 hours in and still going strong). If you’re a fan of rose and/or warm florals definitely check it out!!
