"When our elders get to the age where they can’t take care of themselves and If there isn’t any resources available for them. They’ll most likely get sent out to nursing homes miles away from their family, community and culture. So I am putting this gofundme together because I would like to build my elders on the reservation an assisted living tiny home village! With a running kitchen dining hall and area to have sewing crafts/bingo or just somewhere they can just visit. Along with a center lodge with a fire pit in the middle of the facility! So the youth can come and visit the elders and they can tell stories again. I’ll be using the funding for basically everything from the feasibility study, interior/exterior designs building cost all the way to funding for the workers that will be taking care of our precious elders!! Also this would be a good stepping stone for our local nurses coming out of our community college’s nursing program!! Plus extra employment opportunities for the local community!! They're currently no where near their goal and this would be super beneficial, not only for giving the elders a home nearby but it'll help their mental health and give the younger generations chances to visit their older relatives in an easier way
