there are more people accusing you of being anti-black and anti-native by the way. along with saying you are abusive. visibilityofcolor(.)tumblr(.)com/post/187674024756/alessandriadebardanio-visibilityofcolor
Yeah, it’s kinda like a greatest hits of people that hate me. Also, it’s a bunch of lies, but hey, that’s what happens when you deal with unethical people.
The reason I’ve been talking about this is because of people like EC and dapper and recordsystem trying to find whatever way they can to attack me. That’s why @indigenousandangry got involved, because recordsystem wanted to find someone who didn’t like me and get them started talking about me again, and indigenousandangry is who pulled in @visibilityofcolor. To be clear, indigenousandangry and visibilityofcolor both reacted to finding out they were wrong about something by lying about people and saying terrible things.
In my conflict with indigenousandangry, they got angry because I pointed out that they’d misread a tweet. And pointing out that they straight up misread it, as in did not actually read the message? That’s why they started trying to label me as anti-native. Even though it didn’t have anything to do with Native issues, it had to do with their inability to read a tweet on twitter.
And in the case of visibilityofcolor, our conflict came about because I pointed out the common way people misuse propaganda when they were using it in a similar incorrect way. But that was also well after I’d blocked visiblityofcolor, because they’re one of the few people who I’ve seen do that thing where they argue that anyone who disagrees with them is automatically racist. And yes, this is also the person who took the position that opposing fandom policing is inherently racist. That fandom is racist, despite there being a ton of black people and people of color in fandom, so therefore you should ally yourself with the authoritarian conservatives that police fandom, who also explicitly support racist and homophobic attitudes as part of their core ideology.
The surprising part is seeing @alessandriadabardanio on that list, as I believe she’s one of visibilityofcolor’s fans that needed to tell me I was being racist for pointing out that visibilityofcolor was wrong about what constituted propaganda. And what follows are just examples of alessandriadabardanio using the discussion of racism as a smokescreen for trying to attack people. Also, it looks like she’s trying to re-write history to insert herself into that situation, even though I’d never heard of her before she decided to throw some hate my way after I disagreed with visibilityofcolor, because unsurprisingly, she wasn’t even involved in the original thread.
So, a hanger on, basically.
It doesn’t matter what the facts are, it doesn’t matter how unethical the argument is, she’s latched onto the idea that she can attack someone by calling them a racist so she’s going to make anything sound like racism. I don’t follow her, but when someone retreats to a tactic like that more than one, you kinda have to assume it’s part of their toolbox.
Here’s the bottom line.
If you’re telling the truth, you don’t need to lie about what happened. It’s kinda interesting how the only evidence that these people have to claim that I’m a bigot is that I disagreed with them or didn’t tell them they were right about something that wasn’t actually about issues of race, followed by trying to lie about it in order to cover up for what they did.
Personally? It feels really gross to hear people use the discussion of social justice and civil rights as cover to be terrible people, all because they can’t handle finding out they’re wrong about something.
