This painting is based on the violence of the military, in the form of American intervention and environmental violence, and the contrast of their brutality to the performance their leaders put on a world stage. I chose this because the harm caused to the environment by the military is a byproduct of American imperialism, it does not exist without the American desire to conquer. It's inspired the painting 'Napolean crossing the Alps'. The painting is set in a not so distant future, where violence continues in a war torn country, by a nation that had AI makes its decisions, all while the country is praised on a world stage.
This was painted as part of my finals in my first year of college :)
