This was the view about 1/3 the way up on our hike to the summit of Mt. Batur for sunrise. Seeing the night sky from the Southern Hemisphere was pretty dang cool I have to be honest. If you notice a lil smudge in the sky off to the right side - you’re onto something, because that’s actually another galaxy outside of our own, called the Large Magellanic Cloud. That puppy isn’t visible from Northern Hemisphere usually, so seeing it in person for the first time was awesome! 🌌🌌🌌 This hike was such a great experience and I have more photos from it to come! It was a long ass day tho lol.
