Ian and I do an Indoor flying session with our tricopters.

We were both using KK2.0 boards with 1.6++ firmware.

At one point I tested a 5000mAh zippy LiPo and got about 15mins flight time, well mostly hovering around and circling the room.

Ian was running 3.3Ah Turnigy Nanotech batteries, slightly lighter and thinner than the 2200 Turnigy LiPo's I was running, but we achieved around 10mins of flight time.

Ian's frame is made of carbon fibre, its a custom design with 2822/11 motors swinging 10" props. My frame is made from wood and perspex, based on the RC explorer design but modified to include a housing for the flight controller and receiver, it has 2213N motors swinging 9" green/black props and is a few ounces lighter than Ian's frame, but my heavy battery puts paid to that advantage, although it never struggled to get in the air.

I also had my mini quad but didn't really fly that much, as we were tuning the tricopters up, but I did do an altitude hold test as it uses a clone of the crius AIO V1, with 2822/11 motors swinging 8" props.

All in all it was fun and certainly better than being in a cold field, also it was pitch black outside, I didn't really fancy that.
