Wildfire Sunset - 2021
Longmont, CO
If you anyone still needs some inspiration coming up with a Halloween costume...
Bought a drone, after a month of debating which to get and why, I finalized on the Phantom 3 Standard. I know it is the lowest end model that DJI has but I have a good reason.
Firstly, I want the Mavic Pro, but it will be due for a refresh soon. I wouldn’t want to go all in on a $1,300 drone with extra batteries and have a new model come out a few months afterwards.
Secondly, my one roommate is just as obsessed with drones as I am. He is willing to hangout with me on the weekends and fly this drone, when I finally get the higher end model, he can use the Standard instead of his current $45 toy drone.
I got it for cheap as it was their refurbished version which is really like new condition. I also ordered a extra battery, battery charging dock (4x charging ports) and a Lens cap / gimbal holder.
I really hope to take this thing to nice places throughout Oregon.
The visor clip on my 20 year old corvette broke on my way home. Not a problem with the 3d printer. In less than 40 mins, had one designed and printed out. Going to print another for the passenger side because it will eventually break as well.

I was killing time waiting to film with the homie Rozmo and ended up coming down and getting this shot of the East Van cross. The wind was stupid strong that night and started raining almost immediately after I got the drone in the air. I still managed to snap two photos before returning it to the ground and was surprisingly happy with the one that did turn out.
