SOOOO…i thought about when i was young and first started watching indycar with my dad, and i thought of the women who have raced in the indy 500 during my childhood: simona, kat, and pippa!! and then this edit was born 🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶 I LOVE WOMEN (IN MOTORSPORTS)!!!!! Also fun fact: both simona’s houston 2013 podium and kat’s formula atlantic long beach 2005 wins are in this!!!

the emotions of the indy 500 (2024) 🏁

the indianapolis motor speedway is a place full of hope, but it is also one full of heartbreak. a driver can go through the five stages of grief just hoping to make it into the field of 33. that is what makes it so special; the consistent emotions drivers experience. that is what helps to make it the greatest spectacle in racing.

i didn’t plan on making my second indy 500 edit so soon, but this song has been STUCK in my head and I just had to edit some angst to it….sorry to all my pato and josef fans i am unfortunately going to subject you all to the horrors (especially pato fans. sorry again i love him though i want to see him smile) !!!!!! next edits i plan on making are laguna seca ones since it’s the race in norcal and i am very strongly a norcal girlie… :DD

one of my MAGNUM OPUSES…..this edit. mannn this edit took me a bit!! BUT IM REALLY HAPPY WITH IT!! i feel like pato has had so much heartbreak at the 500 each and every time he’s raced in it, and this song absolutely encapsulates what the emotion of nothing going right at the end must feel…i want to see him SMILE and be in the winners circle so bad. It will happen one day, i know it :D and finally pato fans im sorry for always subjecting him and you to the horrors of my mind, it unfortunately will happen again…. (tw for several crashes at the 500)

AAAAHH my first edit!! i plan on making more edits for sure, this was so fun to do!! this edit was inspired by the indy 500 edits made by @lesbianracecars , which are PHENOMENAL!! this song has been stuck in my head so I had to edit to it tbh…. :D TW: several crashes from the race are in this edit!
