Oh so you think some driver's going out, pushing their limits, progressing themselves, enjoying themselves in rough cars that they don't have to worry about keeping clean, are the downfall of this sport? How about the negative attitudes flowing through the sport by elitist self-righteous arseholes who go around telling everyone what they can and can't do with their own car, their own money, and their own time?

Maybe if this sport had less people complaining about "missiles" and more people supporting individuality and straying from trends, it'd be slightly more enjoyable and sure as shit a lot more interesting.

If it's not "missiles" now, it's another trend tomorrow, and another, and another, the problem isn't the trend itself, it's those who follow them blindly, those who are there for the wrong reasons, and an overall culture that promotes and encourages these people. Do something because you enjoy it, if you love having a good looking car then awesome, if you like having a rougher car that you can drive more care-free then that's fucking dandy, if you have one of each then by crikey that's bloody amazing.

Missile/battle cars/practice cars/thrashers etc etc have been around since day dot, and they will be around well after every trend follower has moved on to the next latest and greatest way to make themselves feel cool. They have been there to build this sport to where it is now, with many of the beloved "Pro-Drifters" coming from or actively still using these cars, to more importantly the thousands of others who enjoy theirs on a day to day basis.

If they aren't your preference, that's cool, what you do with your car probably isn't my preference either, i appreciate that, but at the same time i probably won't ever whinge to you about how your style of drift is ruining the sport, i'll probably just be out there ripping a skid and not giving a fuck.
