UFdoll x Autna CCTV Cats
I love these little freaks.
I've got two now-- pretty much back to back. Both were gifts for Christmas! Today I decided to destring and restring one for -scientific reasons- or something.
Also it turns out Kikagoods already did this-- you can see a much cleaner, polished re-stringing video by Kikagoods -here- and an unboxing video -here-. You can see my less professional yet hopefully helpful photos..below the cut.
So here they are-- Pixel is pink, Gizmo is black. I decided to take apart Pixel because I figured she'd be easier to dress than Gizmo-- that little velvet belt is cute but was kind of a pain.
Here she is fully clothed with all but her tail (It needs a new magnet. More on that later.) They stand pretty well and come pre-strung, which is helpful as..uh. Yeah! Kind of a pain to restring. It's all the fiddly little bits.
Here she is HEADLESS AND NAKIES. Still stands nice.
These were taken after I re-strung her. It needs to be noted that in order to get her clothes back on you do need to have the normal feet and a pair of non-kitty hands on. Luckily for you and I, she comes with them!
Alright. To the bits.
Usually I don't have an outfit to show off so this is fun!
I like her clothing. They're well sewn, despite a lil' thread here and there. Feel well made. I will say that both her clothes AND her bod are cat hair magnets so uh. If you see a hair in any of these photos, no you didn't.

Her socks are stretchy stockings, the bow wraps around and secures in the back. Very cute.
I always worry about bows fraying quickly, but this one feels like it was properly heated along the edges to prevent fraying.
Bod time-- let's look at the head.
The ears are magnetic on the bottom with two little magnets that sometimes come loose. The paperclip you've got to put in on your own and it takes a little finagaling...so I didn't take it out.
You'll notice the head, when the front cover removed, is empty. It's great for when you want to store the ears as the metal plate is just right there.
You can also put a smaller doll's head INSIDE the TV-- that's a whole 'nother thing, though, and I don't have any clear screens just yet to show that off. Yet.
Speaking of the screen.
It comes apart in two pieces. They use magnets to snap in place onto the rest of the head. The screen CAN be switched out with another easily or be left out entirely.
The front of this screen is just a sticker, if I wanted to I could peel it off and put something new on. They sell blanks, however, and I should have some coming in a day or two as of writing.
The wind up key can come out-- but I glued mine in as it was loose. This seems to be a hit or miss sort of issue, as I haven't had that problem with Gizmo yet. I have a similar issue with the tail.
The tails are long, lightweight wires with the CUTEST lil' plugs and bows at the end. They're connected with a little puzzle piece esque plastic piece with a magnet inside onto the back of the torso.
This works ok-- but sometimes falls out easily. The magnet also likes to come lose. You'll notice the tiny piece of plastic sitting alongside the torso here-- that's a piece they include that you can push into the hole on it's back if you're not feeling the tail. Pixel's tail needs a new magnet (..where did it GO?? UGH.) and so I usually keep that piece in place.
Just make sure you insert it with the little hole facing towards you! It's so that you can use a paperclip or something like that to pop it back out if you want.
The plastic feels sturdy. My only concern is the "soft touch" coating(?) it seems to have on it-- I know that those coatings wear off quickly overtime and sometimes can become sticky with age. Quick aside: if you have that issue there isn't really anything you can do to restore the way it used to feel, you'll probably need to use rubbing alcohol to clean it off.

Interesting note about the torso pieces here-- they're made of two different kinds of plastic. Not sure why-- maybe the softer plastic is too soft to hold up to being strung?

The upper and lower parts fit very well together! The insides of each socket are also covered in a soft touch coating- maybe it helps with posing? Maybe it's just the type of plastic they used? I'm not totally certain.
