                one simple ‘ can i talk to you for a minute ‘ just about brought every worst case scenario to mind. maybe he’d said something offensive that he couldn’t quite recall. maybe he’d done something to warrant some sort of chat off in private. maybe she was just mad at him in general. he’d never know if he stood around running around in his own thoughts so quickly, he just about skitters off after her.

Vex was determined to forget all about the fact that her rehearsal dinner almost turned into her funeral. The impromptu ceremony on the cliffside turned into an impromptu reception. She avoided wine, preferring to go for something a little stronger. She wasn’t sure she’d ever drink wine again, or at least not for a long time. For now, though, she would ignore the terrible things that had happened and focused on the good.

After dancing with Percy, Vex went in search of Pike. She sat down beside her, throwing an arm around her shoulders. She leaned in and pressed a kiss to PIke’s temple. “Pike, darling, how are you doing? Are you having fun?” She wanted to thank her for saving her, but she didn’t want to think or talk about what happened tonight. If it wasn’t wedding-related, it could wait until tomorrow.

“About that...” Coming to sit beside her daughter, Aurora reached for Audrey’s hands. “I’ve been talking with your father and if you don’t want to go back, you don’t have to. We’re happy to arrange for a tutor...or maybe a transfer to Sherwood. Whatever you want. All you have to do is say the word and we’ll make it happen.”

It pained Aurora to see her daughter so unhappy. To know that her heart was breaking over what happened with Ben. Ben, who Aurora was now convinced never deserved Audrey to begin with. If she could remove even the tiniest bit of that hurt, she would.

She would do anything for her little girl.

PEPPER WATCHES AS THE BLONDE WOMAN SEEMS TO THINK CAREFULLY; reading body language was something she had become quite proficient in over the years and years of working both for Tony and running the company. People were not always so forth coming; the skill had become a lifesaver. She isn’t entirely sure why she asked in the first place; just things Tony had mentioned in passing that stuck in her memory. One of which was his instant like to Danvers — not that she could blame him for taking a shine to her when she had saved him form the brink of death. She wasn’t sure if she’d ever take her up on that; at the moment all she really wanted to do was fall asleep for a hundred years. Yet, despite all of the well wishes and condolences, this was one Pepper actually appreciated. “ Thank you... I’m sure you’re very busy...  up in space... ”  it was weird to think and say as a commonplace thing still; “ I appreciate it. ”

               “We both know the answer to that.” No, of course she wasn’t. Although Mal had her fair share of troubles with fitting in, Audrey hadn’t exactly been around to see it though. But must’ve heard eventually about her going back to the isle, after all it’s what got Ben kidnapped. And she should’ve apologized after feeling first hand what Audrey went through the moment Uma spelled Ben. She should’ve, but didn’t. She wasn’t entirely sure why. “You know, there’s a lot you don’t know about being evil. Don’t think you’re cut out for it, Auds.” she was stalling, and how better to do that then pissing her off some more? it’s not like she could do much worse than she already had, Evie, Carlos, Jay, Ben... all stoned. The rest of Auradon asleep.
