It was a bit of an embarrassing fact that Verde- a genius of her caliber, could not swim. Ironic as well, seeing how she had her own island laboratory. Really? Swimming? That was a weakness?
There was never a need to learn: Keiman was there in case of emergency, and the woman never actually left her lab to frolic on a beach or waste time at a pool. Any research that required exploring the depths of the ocean could be done in a submarine. She did not need to learn how to dive. But... it was sure to come up one day. Reborn would never let her hear the end of such a stupid skill; or lack of in this case. Not to mention if Keiman or a box weapon was unavailable, there was a slim chance of the woman dog paddling to safety. No. Drowning was certainly not a way she wanted to die. However, this was not a matter one could so simply learn on their own.
The woman adorned a small scarf, wrapping her hair in it quickly, followed by sunglasses to hide her face. A sundress replaced the typical lab coat and work ensemble as she scurried out. Verde was no "master of disguise" like Reborn, but she really, really didn't want to be asked why she was not in her lab or traveling outside of Namimori. Her train ticket read "Iwatobi"- A small place, fairly far, but pleasant. It didn't bother her much that she got questioned or confused stares. It wasn't everyday a "toddler" rode the train on her own,or wore such an outfit, or spoke in such a sophisticated manner, but having to deal with this now (finally) broken curse had become routine. Besides, there was a reason why she traveling out of town to learn how to swim other than avoiding certain people. It hardly took any research to learn that there were free swimming lessons out of town. Besides, the teacher was just a kid- a student and member of a school swim team. There was no chance he'd give her too much of hard time. It wasn't long after arrival did she reach her final destination. All that mattered now was to figure out who was the swim instructor. Luckily the pool was mostly empty....
"This is going to be a long day..."
