Got to see The Absence play tonight. I love watching them and hate it at the same time.
1. They’re an excellent band with tons of stage presence. They also do a bitchin cover of Into the Pit by Testament.
2. They make me want to throw my guitar in the trash because the new guitarists are fucking insane.
Good to see that they’re back in the game.

Apparently, Jermaine Kling of The Absence and Infernaeon and Infernaeon guitarist Taylor Nordberg have enough free time on their hands to have formed a side project, Dritt Skit. And what better to do with a side project than a black metal cover? That’s what they did on their EP, Arachnid Assailant, with Alice in Chains’ “Angry Chair” getting a grim and frostbitten sheen of corpsepaint put on it.
