Arriving on Jeju Island was always an interesting experience. Sunjin never had a normal schedule. He was very much an ‘arrive when needed’ kind of soul, and though he knew quite a few of the regulars, the bathhouse was always growing; it was too good of a retreat not to. So, it was really no surprise that things were particularly busy tonight. Spirits darted and scurried in every direction, running buckets of bath tokens or leading guests of all varieties to their relaxing baths. There was order in disorder, and the bathhouse of Jeju Island managed that disorder well.
Still, it didn’t change house busy it was that night. Sunjin was still perched on the bridge, eyes following the constant flow of in and out. The dragon was seriously debating on just heading home, but this was, in truth, not just a leisure visit; he really needed a bath that evening. Cleansing evil and all that, you know ?
The impatience within his body, and it was quite tiny, had swelled. A layer of sunflower petals lay scattered around his small form upon the handrail, his antlers still growing the flowers unnaturally fast. Something that, somehow, had gone unnoticed ... until that point. Sunjin scoffed at himself, ultimately deciding to shift to the humanoid form he possessed. “ At least they match the time of year, “ he mumbled. Fixing the wrinkles in his clothes, Sunjin went to join the constant flow of spirits into the bathhouse.
His attention was captured by the soul shuffling along beside him. The aura was something he didn’t recognize, and Sunjin was absolutely certain they’d never met before. Now, the dragon wasn’t typically one for conversation, nor was he that good at it, but curiosity swelled in his chest. Sunjin had met a lot of different beings over the years yet the energy being put off beside him was unlike anything he’d ever experienced. Well, he wasn’t getting any younger ... “ You. Are you new here ? “ Nailed it.
