The "don't make fun of x community / thing" on Tumblr is silly and belittles a perfectly jovial coping mechanism. It's one of my last favourite aspects of Tumblr.

i wonder how much of it is just general insecurity and how much of it is specifically that insidious “nerds are a marginalized group (because I never got out of middle school)” thinking.

(and how much is literal middle schoolers)

it's just all black and white with no customisation so all you add are your words and you give entries kudos annnddd it's quite nice as a blank writing slate

the one downside is that it's hard to find other people on there because there's, from what i can see, no means of searching for people

I dream similarly. And also, I think, because results aren’t much of a -surprise- or anything. You were there doing the work. They’re just a confirmation so it’s not particularly gratifying just mildly relieving.

my dreams are a mess. probably as are everyone's. dang.

this does make sense, i guess i thought i'd be at least a little happy. during the night before when i kept waking up and having results esque dreams i woke up and was thinking about getting a first and if i did get one i was ecstatic by the possibility but then once i got the results i just ~shrugs~
