Hypernaturality and boundaries don’t go together
Hypernaturality cannot occur, when there is friction with the old paradigms. To become a hypernatural one has to be a natural at base. To be a natural, one has to release the shackles of the old paradigm of the anti-natural, such as harmful chemicals.
Once one has become a natural, it is assumed that the natural is in tune with himself and freed from the gravest of group-think. The ability to think for oneself is a natural expression. The difference between a master and a slave is indeed the ability to think for oneself and have free will. This is different from determinism, in which one’s personal possibilities and that of the environment are pre-determined. Indeed, this corresponds very much with the notion of the mind and body and the universe being some kind of machine.
Twentieth century sentiment was the need to control the environment and this is what has caused many problems, such as nuclear disasters. As a natural expressions, the hypernatural paradigm lets the environment be, because this is micromanagement on a macro level, which seems like an impossible task. Another and more simple way to put it is that the deliberate human consciousness is too limited to control the environment. Naturally, many aspects of nature happen spontaneously and automatically, just like the beating of the heart.
Indeed, what limits the free expression of the hypernatural is the imagination. To shift into new paradigms has always required a new way of looking at reality, such as the shift from an earth-centric to a solar-centric view of the visible sun and it’s nearby planets.
Imagination fuels freedom. A prime example is the meteoric rise of popularity and interest in lucid dreaming. Lucid dreaming takes the imagination into realms funnily enough unimaginable, like the dream of Daoist philosopher Chuang-Tzu of him being a butterfly and experience existence from inhuman perspectives. Furthermore lucid dreaming allows one to work or train in one’s sleep for more vulgar purposes. This last fact alone demonstrates the immediate gain in freedom from using the imagination in a passive way.
The imagination allows further development of the hypernatural paradigm. Finally a paradigm in itself is limiting in a certain sense. So all in all, the hypernatural paradigm is self-contained and yet self-conscious and self-improving. Surprisingly, we end with a note on that the hypernatural might be a continuation of Daoism, but with the alchemy made exoteric and graspable for the masses to ensure a massive rise in consciousness combined with action.
