1. Elon Musk Elon Musk was born in South Africa in 1971. He spent his childhood there and developed an interest in computers. He taught himself how to program and made his first software sale at the age of 12. Since then Musk has developed several companies and is working on ways to change transportation on Earth and in space. He is most famously known for his companies Space Exploration Technologies Corporation, or SpaceX and Tesla Motors. SpaceX was founded with the intention of building spacecraft for commercial space travel. In 2012, SpaceX launched spacecraft Dragon. It attached to the International Space Station, exchanged cargo payloads, and returned safely to Earth. Dragon has since delivered cargo multiple times and will soon carry crew as part of NASA’s Commercial Crew Program. I found all five people in this article to be very influential in everyone’s lives. Each of them contributed some of their ideas and talents to be involved in creating new forms of technology. Without their help and ideas, our society would be lost. For example, Steve Jobs, invented Apple. The Apple company, along with its various products are all very important innovations that we all use in our daily life. The company has gained over millions and millions of dollars, just because of the small innovations that arose in the skillful mind of Steve Jobs. He wanted to create something different to WOW the public, and he did just that. His products truly make an impact on our lives each day. Think about it... If we did not have these innovators in our lives, then how would we have the simple innovations in which their brilliant minds thought of? They saw a need for an invention, and they went to work to create a new, influential innovation to help benefit our society!
