I'm posting outside-the-box #photography to inspire #InFocusPhoto submissions for 2018. Here's a cool concept: #Repost @voltashow ・・・ Zilbeman Gallery (Istanbul/Berlin, booth B06) channels the prescient power of representation via photography in a divergent three-artist proposal for VOLTA13. Emerging experimental photographer Zeynep Kayan (pictured) interrogates the image’s surface as a site of contention, drawing a parallel with her own body while repositioning the viewer’s gaze. One generation older than Kayan, Ahmet Elhan has several decades’ worth of engagement with photographic ontology, disrupting social codes through his artistic interventions.
