Seriously, folks, we need to stop accepting screenshots as news. Screenshots of tweets are not news. Even tweets are not news. If you think the story is important enough to reblog, then it's important enough to FACT CHECK. And if you fact checked it, then you can reblog it WITH A LINK to a reputable news source so that everyone else can also see that it comes from somewhere.
Remember that the goal of misinformation is not to convince us of a lie, but to make it so we can't tell what is true.
Now more than ever we must practice good information hygiene even in our smallest actions.
Do not post screenshots. Post links. If you reblog a screenshot, add a link. Remind us all with your actions that facts still exist and they matter.
