How do Mike's parents react to Mike being lgbtq+ in Happy '87, and How do Mike's aunt and uncle react when they find out in the actual au? I totally forgot whether or not I've asked this before. How'd they find out?

I think the real question is if any of them found out at all! XD;

Given the time period Mike grew up in, it’s more likely that he kept any not-straight feelings to himself, if at all possible.

In Bones' old au, she said Mike had crappy parents that obsessed with him being what they wanted, parents that said he wasn't good enough, and parents that gave him gifts instead of helping him with life problems. I'm confused bc in ur au he lives with his aunt and uncle growing up. Also, his parents seem to differ from that in the Happy '87 au (we don't know what they're like in the general au bc they ditch him)...So....what were his parents actually like (and his aunt and uncle)?

Ah yes!  That’s one of the ways Bones’ original story and mine diverge!

I made changes to certain elements of backstory, mainly to help further differentiate my version of Mike Schmidt from Bones’, who was adapted into her Pilot story. I didn’t want there to be TOO much overlap so that people could tell the difference and give Bones a break from FNAF-related questions.

Mike’s parents, Carl and Lisa Schmidt, are very loving parents - buuuut they DO let him get away with a few things in his younger years, leading to his rambunctious behaviour and overconfident attitude.  They are essentially the same in both the main story and in Happy 87, but when the Bite happens, it understandably shocks them...

His aunt and uncle, Hank and Cynthia Pearson, are definitely more strict, but still loving in their own way.  You get a general ideya of their characterizations in the story New Years Past!

Hope this clarifies things a bit! And don’t worry, work is underway to help get these questions answered once and for all!

Since you're now in control of the FNAF au, are we still allowed to make our own versions of Doll?

Of course!  That was one of the components of the AU, and my own offshoot with my own Doll is an example of that.  You’re completely welcome to design your own Doll and have them be a part of the AU!

And don’t forget, I’m just one of two people charged with maintaining the AU going forward - it’s not just me!  And that doesn’t mean my own stories will change either; Happy 87, Final Night, and a few planned arcs here and there will be shared too!

POSSIBILITIES OF WHO MIKE WAS DATING BEFORE DOLL ARE? Jasper (eugh)- Maybe Mike hates him for more than one reason, huh? He could've dealt with some similar things that Doll had to, with dating that evil b*stard. Seems like being hurt by the same person that also hurt your S.O. is quite enough to make you crack. Logan- We know he's not straight, bc of Tan in Happy '87. I've explained more of this theory in another ask (you responded with fozzy bear XD) Someone we don't know of yet .__.

Sooo many possibilities!  Which Mike dated who?  How many?  How long?  Answers will come forth in due time~  AWESOME theories you’ve put forward tho! :D

Is your version of Mike still pansexual? If he is, did he date any males before he dated Doll? Since people back then were less educated on the definition of his sexuality and a lot of discriminaton against LGBTQ+ took place, was he ever made fun of? (If he dated anyone else, even if they're not a male, will we ever know? This might be the third time you received this bc my phone glitched out and shut off, sorry).

Mike is definitely pansexual still!

He wasn’t brave enough to really act on it though - growing up in the early 90s, showing any hint of affection to someone of your own sex/gender was asking for trouble.  Both in the regular storyline AND in Happy 87, Mike knew this very well and was afraid of becoming a target, so he kept any crushes he had under wraps.  (He actually felt some relief when Doll came into his life and stole his affections so completely that he was convinced he was straight as an arrow... for a while!  More on that sorting-out later...!)

As for if he ever dated anyone besides Doll? Hmmm...

So, you said that Mike is mixed, but not white and black....I think you said that he's half white, so what's the other half, out of curiosity?

Oooo good memory! Carl Schmidt is of English/Germanic descent, while Lisa Schmidt has Indian and mixed European descent. (By Indian I mean from India!)

Mikey has a pretty varied lineage!

So what's this whole saga with Mike and Panther? To my understanding Panther is extremely obsessed with Mike and also is in "love" with him?

Panther is a mercenary who appears in Carried Away By A Moonlight Shadow and is obsessed with turning him into one of his Living Weapons, people who are brainwashed and inflicted with Stockholm Syndrome to obey his every command.

He doesn’t actually love Mike, he only craves the potential strength Mike has that Panther can command if he were a Living Weapon. This obsession led to his death in CABAMS, but is explored more in length in Scripted Swap.
