Precious Objects
As we go through the house, organizing, I have been spending some time researching mom's various collections. I've discovered really lovely things, including heavy art glass bowls and West German pottery.
One of the nicest (and unexpected) benefits to this exercise is that I'm suddenly doing all kinds of collateral learning.
In the process of trying to find out how one might identify "Murano" glass, I found a picture of this incredibly beautiful "Ansikten" vase, designed by Ingeborg Lundin for the Swedish glassworks, Orrefors.
Wow.
