Inger is depicted as a young woman standing erect. Her expression is controlled yet somewhat guarded, her gaze thoughtful and introverted. Her dark hair is tied back. The impression of chaste modesty is reinforced by the black dress, tightly clasping her neck and with long sleeves. The dress and background are the same dark color, highlighting the pale face.
