Matusalem at Home

The last two weeks have put the whole world on pause. We’re doing our best to keep seeking the silver lining and provide an optimistic take on all our new-found free time. 

As much as we miss sitting in our favorite bars and asking which tapas pair best with Matusalem’s 23-year Reserva, we can’t ignore the impact social distancing has had on the bars and restaurants we love so deeply. We can’t get into our “easy cocktails at home” recs without first recommending you follow your local watering holes on social media to find ways to support their efforts.

And, without the mixologists we leaned on to create our favorite cocktails, we’ve had to start honing in on our own skills. We’ll keep it easy today, but as quarantine continues for many of us - don’t be surprised if our Amazon deliveries start including shakers and citrus juicers. 

The Bishop 

2.5 oz. Matusalem 15 Year

1 oz. red wine

1 tsp. simple syrup

½ lime - juiced

Combine all ingredients in a shaker, filled with ice.

Shake well (we consider this an at-home workout)

Strain into a chilled wine glass

Enjoy!
