INDRID COLD AND THE MOTHMAN PHONE - The hotel room telephone Richard Gere's character used to talk to the mysterious "Indrid Cold" in the 2002 horror-thriller "The Mothman Prophecies." This prop is on display at the Mothman Museum in the town of Point Pleasant, West Virginia - where the film (and the 1975 John Keel book it was loosely based upon) takes place. In the story, the mysterious Indrid Cold (possibly an alien being or a "Man In Black") relayed strange cryptic messages through the phone, warning of impending doom connected with sightings of a bizarre flying creature known as "The Mothman."
