Day 17 - Crockery #myhousethismonth I inherited my grandparents’ dining set in 2003. It’s massive and lovely. I’m down to three bowls so I’m always on the lookout for replacements which is tricky because it is discontinued. It was only now as I was lining the plates up for my artsy-fartsy insta shot that I really noticed the lovely scroll on the edges. I love the simple pattern and that I am able to use them every day.        EYES,    grown wide,   flutter from treat to girl.    skittish,    it has been a long time since hunger had prowled along her body   (   fingers filled with stolen wealth,   she had brought food into the house,    had given so much to others,     let the world feast on her thievery and held herself up as the HERO of the people   ).   but it had been some time since she had found a house worth stealing from   ---   heroes were never a good target and stealing from the same close circle was sure to foster SUSPICION.    so,    she descends on treat as a hungry wolf,    mouth stuffed with treat.    eyes glance over,    holding out hand for more.

over indistinct conversation and dancing music coming from the building behind him, he hadn’t heard anyone come up. he’d nearly dropped the small bowl of noodles balanced carefully on his knees - and decided they’d be safer on the stairs next to him.

“ N-nori! I, uh, couldn’t find a place to sit. well I’m sure if I asked my friends they would have made room but they were all so busy talking I didn’t want to interrupt - ” 

he felt his cheeks get warm, “ d-did you come out here to sit with me? ”
