Buried Pasts, Don't Often Stay Buried

@inhumanhacker To say that Jason Krieger Long was an outcast was an understatement. Specific reasons as to why were mainly his attitude. Everything else about him was so redacted in red and black ink that it would even make the Black Widow blush. The only person who knew the full story about Jason, at least up to a certain point? Was the leader of the field teams, Agent Phil Coulson, and Director Fury themselves. Having Coulson as his direct Handler proved nearly catastrophic as Jason hated his guts. Not the petty kind, no. Hate that was thick enough to see. Yet? Eventually, Agent Coulson had to stand down along with Jason. Again, for reasons that the team was not privy to. Now that there was a new tasking, Jason was asked (not ordered) to come to Coulson's office, where he would be given a new handler as an asset, since he was not an Agent but still had high-level clearance but not access. Daisy was given their mission and task. To infiltrate a Hydra base that was reactivated. They would be given new equipment and tools, showing the significant challenge they would face. Before they went into the equipment area to change into their new suits, Coulson pulled Daisy aside. "Look, you are going into hell with a demon beside you...if at anytime, he (Jason) does not comply. I need you to remember and say these words around him..."Grauer Stern" (gray star) , Schwarz Dunkle Nacht (black dark night), "Stille schlüsselfertig Got it? Repeat it to me."

It made sense that Sara was having a nightmare about death. Her whole life seemed to revolve around it since her own resurrection. First Laurel was killed. Then her father. And now Oliver. It was constantly on her mind, she was constantly trying to rework things that couldn’t be reworked, that couldn’t be changed, and yet it occupied her every thought. Her every day. It inhabited her. So of course when she fell asleep after days without it, she put herself back in the place where her soul had been trapped when her body had initially been resurrected without it. A mock Lazarus Pit with mottled limbs that pulled at her from every direction, and she cried out, and it didn’t matter how hard she fought, she always drowned. And then the whole thing started again. Which was why when she felt someone shaking her arm, her eyes flashed open, and she went for the neck. Despite knowing how it would end, despite knowing she would drown for what seemed like an eternity until Laurel and Oliver pulled her out (they were dead they were dead they were dead), she would keep fighting.

Radstorms. Even in his perfectly sealed suit it wasn't nice to stand outside, feeling like an egg in a microwave that may pop at any moment. The best way to counter one was to scarf down some Rad-X and hope it doesn't rain as well, or just go inside to an inner room where it wouldn't hit you as hard. It was of course the latter that Allister had chosen, Rad-X were expensive after all and there were more than a few buildings around.

He, however, hadn't planned on someone else having the same idea. It was such a surprise that he fumbled his gun a bit and rather than try to recover, simply grabbed a plasma mine from his bag and shoved it out in front of him, still in his hand.

"Now, I don't know who you are, but I'm thinking we can be nice and share this space until the storm passes."

She still didn't know where she stood within the pack. Temperance was not particularly social and she had been dedicated to keeping her original life as intact as possible. There was a potential that her assistant had noticed that she was always busy during the full moon but other than that, she was able to continue being an architect. Still, she respected Richard and it didn't seem like there was anything else that was required from her.

Even with that loyalty, Temperance wasn't aware that she was moving when Damien lunged forward. Her skin ignited as she tackled Richard out of the way. She curled up, assuming that the few seconds she bought him would allow Richard to react. Sure enough, she smelled more blood that wasn't hers and knew the other wolf was gone. "Side." Temperance murmured. Her hands moved to lift her shirt enough to feel the fresh claw marks that had opened her skin. "You ok?"

Cara didn’t have many hunting contacts, but one she recently procured a particularly elusive tome for offered her information in return: the name and location of a business that was willing to work with hunters and sell them hard-to-find weaponry under the table. So having pulled up to the building, she opened the door and stepped inside...

...only to find herself face-to-face with Ashley. But it wasn’t Ashley. Ashley was dead. Just like Ari, and her parents, and the countless other innocents that - if someone even looked remotely like them - could throw her into a memory or a hallucination. Still. She was just so real.

Cara felt bile rising up into the back of her throat, and she uttered an apology before dashing out of the building, emptying the contents of her stomach at the side of the building.

Lucan had been on a supply run with another mutant from the station named Molly when they’d been attacked by what essentially were a handful of mutant-hating thugs. He and Molly managed to fight them off, but not before a knife slashed at both her face and her arm. Lucan was just about to take the wounds from her when a random passerby approached them, seemingly out of concern. He put his hand up as he tried to tell her, “It’s okay, she’ll be all right. I can take care of her. You don’t need to call 911, we don’t need any help.”

Dana chuckled. Sure she'd sat where her crotch was near a plate of food while they ate dinner and watched a movie, but this was still beyond what she'd expected. "Why Sage, how forward of you, but I'm not quite flexible enough for that. I'd love for you to partake, of course, if you're interested."

The police were after him... damn it all. Without his mask on to hide his identity, he didn't have the chance to be able to use his fire to high tail it out of there, forced to do things the mundane way... and even then he was much faster than the average human. Able to pull away from the police with ease, he rounded a corner with quite the lead on them... and when he sees the person there, he comes up with quite the plan, one that has all sorts of risks in it for him.

But he doesn't care.

Running up to them, Blue, heaves out a breath, "Just go with it," he urges, one hand coming to rest at their shoulder and the other cupping their cheek...

And in the next moment, he's kissing them. For a moment the world seems to slow down as he presses himself up against them, enough so that it'd pin them against the wall of the building behind them. For a moment, Blue forgets that he's being chased by cops as his lips move tenderly against their own...

He's only vaguely aware of the cops passing by them where they kissed...

It had worked... and yet he didnt pull away
