It’s been a while since I’ve had Inigo/Gerome on the mind and I don’t think I usually come up with HCs without being prompted by an outside party, but it is one of my first FE ships and holds a good place in my heart, so I will do my best for u, anon

(I just scoured the wiki for evidence and found nothing and so this might have actually been a fic I read once and not something that actually happened in-game, but) it’s my default setting to think Gerome originally wasn’t going to travel to the past with the other kids because he canonically believes fate cannot be changed. It wasn’t until Inigo found him before they left and begged Gerome to come with (or even threatened to stay in their doomed world with Gerome) that Gerome relented, i.e. showed up at the last moment the day of. There was a good chance Gerome wouldn’t have gone or Inigo would have stayed if they hadn’t had that (pleading) conversation.

Like Severa, Inigo does not recognize Gerome the first time he sees Gerome without the mask because it’s been so long since Gerome has shown someone his face. Because Awakening!Inigo is a little shit, he most likely teases Gerome about his looks while secretly thinking Gerome is very handsome without the mask as well.

Wiki says Gerome is the last to fall asleep among the Shepherds on a regular basis so please imagine that he watches Inigo sleep some nights because Inigo definitely falls asleep first. Cute or angsty depending on mood.

Inigo has a sense of privacy when it comes to himself but not really with other people and he canonically spilled a bunch of butter in Gerome’s tent and attracted scorpions or something smh. Whether or not Gerome was there probably doesn’t matter, since Inigo goes through other people’s private property as well (see: Owain’s journal), so Inigo probably sneaks into Gerome’s tent on a regular basis both to sate his curiosity about Gerome’s stuff and to give Gerome a sense of belonging about being with the Sheperds because he’s on the outskirts so often

Gerome has gone from tossing Inigo out of his tent on a regular basis to begrudgingly accepting it. He doesn’t own a ton of personal stuff anyway. 

They’re both huge losers and it look them like 2 weeks after realizing they like each other to hold hands

Gerome tries to take Inigo flying on Minerva’s back once and Inigo almost cried and held on to Gerome very tight the whole time. Gerome was sad, but Inigo was appreciative that Gerome shared something like that with him and thanked both Gerome and Minerva for the trip and promised he’d try to get over his fear of flying

Gerome said he would definitely not be taking Inigo flying again because his reaction was so bad, but Inigo really wanted to try and so he would climb trees and stuff sometimes to practice with heights, even though climbing trees and flying aren’t really the same. Gerome appreciates it, even though he keeps telling Inigo he doesn’t have to do that.
