suzaku who finds himself anticipating the sight of c.c. lounging in his room in the week of lelouch's death anniversary. they mostly talk about c.c.'s travels, they rarely talk about lelouch. c.c. invites him once to join her, suzaku declines; he doesn't deserve it, his mind whispers.
and when c.c. stops visiting after discovering suzaku's assumption, suzaku realizes how lonely he actually is and how the fireplace isn't enough to warm him up from the cold left behind by the witch.
