Info on [Eternal Ink]Project (2017) and Ink Prison(2018) the dev!
Hello, everyone!
Tais here! [Eternal Ink]Project is the a dark fantasy game that you will be able to get for free on Itchio and Gamejolt later this year.
The main game INK PRISON will be for sale on 2018.
Here is a quick Q&A to help you know more about this project (Also remember that both here tumblr and on the twitter page you can always send questions and comments!):
Q&A 1
Who are you?
Are you working alone on this project?
Have you worked in any other game?
Why is the prequel separated from the main game?
Who are you?
My name is Tais. I’m from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I've been working on the story of Ink Prison for some years now. I love video games, drawing, reading and dogs. I can speak Spanish, English, Japanese and basic Portuguese, so feel comfortable sending me messages in any of those languages if you want to!
Are you working alone on this project?
Mostly, yes! There is the play-testers at the end and a prof reader but that’s all! I wrote the first draft almost 5 years ago and after working with it for some years I finally feel that it’s time to present it to everyone!
This is a one person job! Art, eventing, script, story and music!
Have you worked in any other game?
This is the first game I’m working on as a project for others to play and not for my own. That said, I want everyone to know that because this is the first public project that you see from me does not mean it won’t be polished.
Both the free prequel and the main game will have prof reading before being uploaded. (Since my native language is Spanish.)
I've also gathered a diverse group to test both games before the release. A good game must have the minimum amount of bugs possible and I want to make sure you can all have a smooth playtime.
Why is the prequel separated from the main game?
The prequel is a short game of around 1-2 hours. It’s full of artwork and hours of work but I want everyone without exception to be able to see if they are interested in the game, it’s characters and it’s story! That’s why the prequel won’t cost a dime!
As for the main game it’s around 5 hours(might be more) .It will have multiple endings, 4 main protagonists, 2 secret levels, side quests and more than 100 NPCs with their own artwork for their character busts.
Also both games will work as stand alone games! But if you want to get to know the story and characters in more detail I highly recommend playing both!
Ink Prison will have a graphic mini series on-line (for free) that will be available on Tapastic next year. It will take place before the main game and also before it’s prologue [Eternal Ink] Project.
+Along with the main game an HD version of the series, plus an extra chapter, will be available too!!!
+La mini serie gráfica también estará disponible en español al igual que el juego.
What will the graphic mini series be about?
Each chapter will give glimpses of important moments of each main playable characters and main enemies. So each chapter will be about one particular person, and so on (that means the stories can be read in no particular order).
Should I read it before playing the game then? Or is it better to read everything after I have finished playing it?
Both! Non of the chapters will contain spoilers of the game. What’s more! Before and after you play the game, you might even see each story in a new light. So I highly recommend to read it both before and after playing the game.
When will this graphic mini series come out?
They will be available to read for free on Tapastic starting March of 2017. It’s also scheduled for it to be 10 pages per month chapter until the main game comes out in late mid or late 2018.
