what's your headcanon for how Josuke and CD met? owo
so Josuke’s got this really strong* sense of justice and a desire to see things put to rights, yeah? It’s almost definitely why CD is the way that it is. *(moneygrubbing schemes nonwithstanding)
But anyway, sometime when Josuke’s in late elementary school, maaaaybe early middle school, there’s a classmate that gets into a bad (or at least pretty bloody) accident right in front of him. So bam. The kid’s crying. Josuke’s crying. Crazy Diamond is probably also crying. All Josuke sees is this pink and blue blur, and then the hurt kid’s howls turn a little less panicky.
Once the blood has been put back where it belongs and everybody stops sniffling, Josuke doesn’t really freak out all that badly about having a punch ghost. He’s got a new friend - a new friend who can fix anything. His first thought isn’t “I’m invincible!” but rather “I CAN HELP EVERYBODY NOW”.
As he experiments and different situations arise, the limits of what CD can and can’t do start to come into focus - he can’t fix things that don’t exist anymore (i.e. burnt things), he can’t fix his own bloody knees, etc. CD’s really upset by not being able to fix Josuke, but it absolutely PALES in comparison to its reaction when Josuke breaks a limb.
Josuke and CD had been pretty close already but if CD can’t fix the problem, then Josuke is gonna get DOTED ON GODDAMNIT.
