Today I dropped off two pieces of work at the framers. One is for the Dark Art Gallery show in October (which I will show at a later date), and the other is a personal piece I was working on earlier this year. I found the perfect mat board and frame to make this ink illustration pop. This is one of my favorite because in linear, when framed will be right around 36 inches, plus or minus one or two, making it the longest I have ever made. Panel 4 finished and moving into the 5th and final. This will be the longest illustration to date. It's been a busy past few weeks. I have a piece that will be in a show in Maine in late October. I've been working on that and will post details as the date closes in. Plus, I'm finishing a painting and another graphite piece. All of this while spending family time with the wife before she leaves on an overseas assignment. To add to the chaos, I'm working on moving all of my artwork to a website/blog platform. Instagram's algorithm is just too much to deal with these days, and I've noticed the drop in my posts. The old school days of website/newsletters/ blog posts are making a comeback. Instagram's banning of images, cropped photos, and frustrating hashtag usage keeps the work of many artists hidden. I've noticed I have to sort through the search bar just to find favorite artists I follow.
