“I love you,” The words bubble from Spencer as he watches you get dressed from his spot on your bed. He’s laying just in his boxers, his hair damp after his shower and his eyes are glued to you as you slip into his favourite pair of pants that you have. 

Your hands fumble with the button and zipper and your hair slaps your cheek as you turn to look at him. 

“Say that again?” you’re smiling and Spencer knows that you’ve heard him clearly. 

“I love you,” he’s standing now, stalking towards you with a wide smile on his lips. “I’m in love with you,” he kisses your cheek, “My heart beats for you,” then your nose. “Every time I see you I get a little breathless.” Finally he kisses your lips, and you squeal against his lips.

Spencer’s kiss is like all his others, but the rest of his feelings are poured into it as he nips at your lips and licks into your mouth.

“I love you, Spencer.” you pull back to say breathlessly, smiling when Spencer surges forward to press another set of kisses to your mouth. Before much else can happen, his phone rings, Penelope’s name flashing across the screen. 

“Finish getting dressed sweet girl.” He nips your lips before letting you go, slipping into his own clothes so he can spend an extra minute staring at you and then go to make your morning coffee.

reader was recently discharged from the hospital after a major surgery, and aaron being the amazing man he is, decided - since it’s his day off, he’d make her breakfast in bed?

“All set?” Aaron asks as you sit up on the hospital bed, a pain between your legs as you watch him hold your little baby with one hand and reach for you with his other one. 

“I really wanna go home and have mint chocolate ice cream with Jack and the baby,” you’re tearing up as Aaron sits you in the wheelchair they provided, settling your baby in your arms the moment you’re comfortable. 

“He’s with Penelope and Derek in the cafeteria, he said there were chocolate chip cookies on display.” you hum, leaning your head back tiredly. Aaron kisses your forehead, something more than love nestled between his ribs. 

You hear him before you see him, a smile already on your face as you hear his shoes squeaking on the tiles. 

“I got you this, and it’s warm!” Jack says, kissing your cheek with all the energy of a kid hopped up on sugar. 

“Thank you Jack, did you have yours already?” you break yours in half and give it to him when he nods, Aaron shaking his head fondly at the action. 

“How’re you feeling mama?” Derek asks, watching you chew on the cookie and stroke your baby’s cheek. 

“I could sleep for a week, but the pain is mostly gone.” 

Penelope hooks a gift bag on one of the arms of the wheelchair with a smile. “That’s a care package from the girls and I.” she kisses your forehead and Derek and her leave, your little family strolling out of the hospital chatting together, with you mostly listening to Aaron and Jack’s master plan of taking care of you and the baby.

You don’t mean to be a clutz, but it happens every time Spencer is around. He just happens to witness your worst moments and it makes you want to avoid him. 

Your most recent clumsy moment while Spencer was around, was you rushing to the ME’s office and slipping on something on the bottom of your shoe and almost hitting your head right into the door jam. 

Spencer catches your arm before you can, steadying you with a concerned look. “You’re going to end up needing stitches if you’re not careful.” he murmurs, you shake your head. 

“I’m careful, you just always witness my clumsiest moments.” your voice is soft and you can’t bring yourself to meet Spencer’s eyes. They’re too brown, warm and kind and it makes you feel like your entire body is a live wire that will result in your combustion. It’s made even worse when he trails his hand from your upper arm to your wrist. Spencer must know what all this closeness does to you. 

He hides a smile, stroking his thumb over your inner wrist. “C’mon, let’s go see what the ME has.” The little shit doesn’t drop your hand and you both walk at a much slower pace than you’d been going at before.

Fem!neighbor!reader screams bc of a bug or sm mundane and hotch thinks she is in terrible danger

Hotch hears the scream from your apartment, but he more so feels it in his bones. The shrill, panicking sound of it. Then there’s a crash and his heart sinks. He rushes to his safe, thanking god Jack is at a friend’s house for the night. 

You and him had gotten close over the period of you moving to the quiet little suburban town in Virginia. Close enough where he doesn’t knock on the door and is opening it with a key. 

Something’s wrong, he thinks, gun safety off as he makes quiet steps further into your house. He doesn’t want to spook the potential unsub, but he doesn’t want to take too long in getting to you. 

Aaron doesn’t have to worry much longer because you round the corner of your hallway, another scream on your lips as you realise it’s Aaron and he has his finger to his lips. 

“What’s wrong? Why are you screaming?” he asks in hushed whispers, and you place a hand over your pounding heart. 

“There’s a huge, and I mean gargantuan spider in my shower and it isn’t moving. I don’t want to touch it ‘cos it looks fuzzy.” 

Aaron shakes his head, clicking the safety back on his gun before tucking it into the waistband of his pants. 

“I almost came in here shooting,” he says as you lead him to your bathroom. “Thought someone was breaking into your house.” 

You shake your head, a little embarrassed when Aaron laughs as he spots the spider. It isn’t as gargantuan as you said it was, but it is fuzzy. He traps it between a bowl and a cover and lets it out in your back garden. 

“Sorry about the scream, and thank you for taking care of the spider.” you say sheepishly but Aaron shrugs, a smile playing at his usually frowny lips. 

“It’s no problem, but you might want to think about planting lavender. They don’t like the smell of it.”

“Vi, baby come get your snacks!” You’re in the kitchen while your four-year-old daughter is building puzzles with Steve in the living room. She’s been having a hard time eating lately, so you’ve started just giving her lots of her favourite  fruit and veggies that she loves before dinner so if she doesn’t end up eating a lot at dinner, you know she’s not starving. 

“Coming, momom.” You hear her toddle to you, Steve right behind her with a small smile on his face.

He’s been around to hear the birth of the ‘momom’ over ‘mom’ and he loves it. He genuinely thinks it’s the cutest thing ever. 

“Thanks momom,” she holds her plate in one hand and grabs a couple blueberries and shoves them into her mouth. “What about Stevie?” she asks and he finds that even cuter. 

Violet is just the cutest thing Steve has ever seen, he doesn’t shy away from telling her that either. Before you can even give her an answer, she’s grabbing a handful of the fruits on her plate and holds it out to Steve. 

He opens his hands immediately, accepting the halved grapes, cubed melon and sliced pears she’s shared with him. “Here you go, Stevie. Puzzles?” she’s ready to go again and you have to suppress your laugh at how enthusiastic she is about the ocean puzzle you and Steve had got her last weekend. 

“What about giving momom a kiss first?” she gasps, like she can’t believe she’s forgotten to give you a kiss. 

“Sorry momom, kiss.” she puckers her lips and you scoop her up, kissing her cheeks till she giggles.

Aaron is behind the wheel, pulling out of the local precinct with you in the passenger side when your favourite song comes on the radio.

“Oh Hotch, can you turn it up?” 

He looks at you a little strangely, not quite sure what it is about this song that you love, but he does as you ask. 

“I love this song!” you tell him excitedly, smiling as you sing the words. 

Aaron is a little lost for words. Sure you’re the BAU’s very own adrenaline shot, -an affectionate Morgan had given you that hadn’t let up yet- but it still takes him by surprise the way you can find a way to be happy and remain unconsumed by the cases. 

Of course, there were times you’d been consumed by them, but you were always able to let them leave your mind by the time your report was through. Aaron admires it, he knows it takes more strength than you play it off to be.

“You have to know this one, Hotch.” you say when you chance a glance at him and find him looking at you. “It’s a million years old.” He knows you’re teasing, but he indulges you. He doesn’t dare address why, not yet anyway.

“Must have missed it in my million years here.”

“So, we make a great team right?” Aaron asks as he looks up from his box of take out.

“Aaron, don’t ruin a good meal.” You hide a smile as you take a bite of your dumpling. You and Aaron are out for a celebratory dinner after wrapping a case that had been dragging its feet.

You and him have a rocky relationship, you and Aaron are the best lawyers in the DA’s cabinet, so you’re always paired together and you’re always second chair.

It’s not Aaron’s fault, he’s let you lead cases multiple times, but it’s not the same, so you’re the tiniest bit resentful.

“You can admit that much though? The Rocket Docket is a hard place to present a case.”

You nod then, chewing through a bit of stir-fry. You debate how much praise you should give Aaron, but you suspect you feel a bit more satisfied than you want yourself to believe as you swallow.

“Yes, we make a good team.” He smiles wide, a megawatt thing that surprises you because he’s known for his scowls.

“I knew you loved working with me.” You shake your head, ready to rebut when he uses his chopsticks to place a couple extra pieces of orange chicken on your plate and steals the pieces of broccoli that you won’t eat.

“You’ll come around fully soon, Y/n. Trust me.” That fact that he’s just given you more of your favourite takeout chicken is a very obvious fact of his statement. You don’t quite know how to feel about it.
