Ohhh the husband and son part came as a total surprise! Are they in the UK with you?

Yes! they’re here. We first moved here when E was 3 months old (yes, I was fucking crazy, haha) so he has spent most of his life here. Getting his passport pictures was hilarious/very stressful because he was two weeks old when we had to take them in order for the passport to come through in time. And as you know passport regulations require that the person’s eyes be open. How often do two-week babies open their eyes? Not often. How often will they do it on command and *keep* their eyes open while a picture is taken? .... Less often. Hahaha. What we finally did is lay him on the floor and the photographer had me clap my hands loudly to startle E while he took pictures. I should try to find it and show you it’s too funny, he looks like a tiny old man alien.

Haha I like your vehemence lady. Yes, the rational part of my brain agrees with you. It’s a combination of needing a haircut and being stressed out I think... my hair is always where my emotional crises actually manifest in the outside world haha. But maybe just bangs again.

I also love Vikings!! Yay us!

Hey! OK! I have two Important Things to say, first is: VIKINGS! I haven't started S3 yet (I know I know) but I'm going to right away and the first two seasons blew my mind. Love love love it. The writing and pacing is so good and the world-building is (I think) just magnificent. They do such a great job of not being historically condescending to the culture/time period, too. I was kind of prepared to be meh about Ragnar, before I started watching, but Travis Fimmel just knocks it out of the fucking park, I think. 

Second thing: I took this long to reply to your ask because, well, short version is, I saw your username and was like, this sounds so familiar! Inkiestdawn...hmm...have I read fic by her? So then I went and searched ao3 but couldn't find anything. So then I came back to your blog and trawled around it for awhile till I found your fic master list. Still couldn't see any titles I recognised but I tried one to see if it looked familiar and ... um, ended up reading three front to back and could have gone on if I didn't have, ah, life responsibilities and all that shit haha. So I'm still super weirded out because I can't figure out where I've seen your name before ... BUT I am loving your fic! So Much For Foreplay is my fav so far. :)
