What inspired your story?
I wrote this when the 1st lockdown struck in the UK, and nobody knew what would happen and went on furlough. Also, I was told that I would be potentially made redundant, and I needed to write something where I could escape, feel my sadness, and fear. That is how I wrote about Drew, where everything in the world that you thought you had was all going to change, and there was no way you could stop it.
But I also had friends, co-workers and family supporting me through, and I did the same in return. That is why I created Ester, to prove there is kindness in people and should not be unseen.
Overall, I kept my job with the people I adore by supporting and pushing myself into new things.
Where does your story take place?
In Brooklyn, never been there, but I used google maps/photos to help me out.
