@inksofoblivion asked: ‘ are you really that sensitive? ‘ -from inksofoblivion- [ sweet & sour ]
It might have been partially her fault. The door was closed. Not locked. And they were technically in his space, so he was free to come and go without announcing himself. Alice imagined that the reason why she’d stepped away for the moment was clear: it was time to check on the injury at her side, apply more ointment and change the bandages. Maybe that was the point of him following several steps behind and joining her in the restroom so unceremoniously; seeing the progress of her case and witnessing the efficacy of her treatment.
She didn’t bother covering herself up. As doctors, they were both well familiar with the human form, and it’s not like she was naked, so she just kept going, removing the bandages. The impact had caused the skin to tear in some places, but they had closed well, only leaving behind a purple bruise. All in all, the healing was coming along nicely, her personal medication speeding up the process.
In the time it took her to locate the ointment jar in her bag, Law had apparently crossed the room to get a closer look and reached out to feel the area around the bruising. In her mind, she could reach the rational conclusion that he may have been checking the temperature, but suddenly feeling someone touching her when she wasn’t expecting it - especially him - sent a shiver down her spine, making her shudder.
Despite his remark being delivered in his usual flat tone of voice, part of her was still pretty convinced there was a teasing edge hiding just under the surface, which had her decidedly not looking at him and hoping she didn’t seem as flustered as she felt. “Maybe a heads up next time, Doctor Trafalgar.”
@inksofoblivion "happy father's day." a ragged whisper, barely above a breath as he stared at the old picture. him, ill and perennially grumpy and Cora, with his big, dorky smile: unfaltering even when the whole weight of the world, of the secrets and burdens remained on his shoulders. -father- the word echoing endlessly in his mind, painful in his heart as his thumb pressed harder against the worn out old picture and the edges came out of focus as his tears gathered in his eyes, the burning in his throat. he was gone, he was gone and he had never told him just how much he had changed his life. and now he had to live with the weight of the unspoken words, with the self imposed task of avenging the man that had meant the most to him, just so he had something to do with all that grief. because, at the end, anger is just sadness that has had nowhere to go for a very long time.

Come on Ikkaku, this is in the interest of medicine.
A vein in her forehead twitched. Yeah, the fact that he was still avoiding giving her details told her she’d made the right choice not blindly agreeing. “For the love of-- Law, I don’t care if what you’re gonna do cures cancer! You accidentally fuck up your best engineer, you fuck up your ship!” she snapped, putting down her tools lest she be tempted to smack him with a wrench. That would absolutely not go over well. “If you want me to put my body on the line for your little medical research, you’re at least giving me a nice bonus in my paycheck and a few extra days shore leave to recover.”
@inksofoblivion:
“an ally, you say? and what proof have you got of this?”
Proof... He wouldn’t be so easy to convince as Luffy, hm? “I know Luffy-san, and I know you have reason to distrust me on the virtue of my connection to Kaido... Let me introduce myself, I am Kozuki Oden! But I am also Yamato, the son of Kaido! Please trust me when I say I want to fight on your side!”
‘ why waste your breath moaning at the crowd? ‘
“I... have to be honest I don’t know what you’re talking about, or... who you are. Are you dead? I didn’t think I was sober but you never know, do you...”
just can’t get enough guy

“I wonder how it feels to be a well known and fresh-out-of-jail criminal.” Sought by the Marines and the World Gov. A dangerous woman with a dark past, and a future full of possibilities.
She froze mid-movement momentarily. It’s not that she didn’t expect to be recognized at some point or another - she just really didn’t feel like having to switch hotels again, god forbid islands.
Well, she thought, we’ll just have to see how this goes.
Placing her wine glass back on the small ornate table set next to the armchair she was lounging in, she smoothed down her dress and cleared her throat. “I might ask a similar question myself. I’ve seen your face around. There’s a hefty sum waiting for whoever shows up with your head.” Shrugging nonchalantly, she continued with a small smirk: “But I place little value in titles that don’t matter, and I never look back.”
Impel Down was awful, of course. Horrible and painful and so not a time she liked to revisit in her mind. She looked the man - whose name she did forget, by the way - up and down, noting the elegant arch of his brow and the inky letters on his slender fingers.
She nodded to the armchair next to hers suggestively. “But I admit it could stand to feel better. And I hear you are a doctor of sorts?”

DIEGO @numcrodos
It’s just any other day at the bar she worked at. Nami wasn’t a stranger to becoming a bar-tending therapist from time to time, but today’s ‘client’ really managed to tug at her heartstrings a little bit. Short hair and a scar from his scalp to his cheekbone, the stranger had no hesitation in venting about some issues with his family and his mom. Having lost her mother, she felt inclined to offer some kind of comfort to the leather clad man, even if the part of her that craved big tips was telling her no.
“Hey. Have this.” She grinned, sliding a drink to him. “It’s on the house. But don’t tell anyone! I don’t give just anyone free drinks! Let’s just say this whole Mom thing is something I can relate to.”
MONET @snxwbird
Leaning over the railing of the upper deck, she took notice of Monet, alone on the lower deck of the ship. Brown eyes may have lingered for a while before realizing Monet was upset. Whatever the reason, the Strawhat’s newest crew member didn’t deserve to feel this way. Walking down to the lower deck, Nami stretched her arms into the air, before leaning backwards on the rail next to Monet.
“You look like you could use some company!” The navigator flashed a huge grin, before leaning her head back and looking at the bright speckles in the sky above them. “What are the stars telling you tonight Monet?”
LAW @inksofoblivion
Wano had so far been an interesting country to explore, however Nami couldn’t help but feel uneasy about how she was unable to see Law’s face underneath his mask. There was no way of reading how he was feeling or thinking. In an effort to reassure him that things were going ok, she caught up to him, matching his pace for a little while.
“You know, you don’t need to worry about anything.” Nami happily patted his back. “This alliance has gone great so far, why would it go wrong now?”
