28. Camping

Hello everybody!

If I reference something in my drawings, it's usually something that's largely known across the globe.

For this one I thought it would be fun to do something that is a little more close to home.

This carriage is from 'Pipo de Clown' and his wife Mamaloe. I used to watch Pipo en de P-P-Parelridder when I was a kid, and now I'm watching the new show with my own kid.

I recently found out that there is a vacation park that has houses like these for renting, so maybe we'll go Camping Pipo style in the future.

Day28~ The subject is Camping. Did you watched Warcraft the movie? Such a great movie. No matter the race, all will go on journeys and need to rest. Even, if it's just before the war. Being one with nature embrace who you really are so you can use your natural capacities to the max. I love going hiking, and whould love to go camping seriously. Day 24: "Fairy" (Superb fairy wren) Day 25: "Temptation" (not super interested in this prompt, so I probably won't ever render this drawing). Day 28: "Camping" (Steller's Jay, in honor of the fact that I was often woken in the morning by these birds calling in the tree above my tent while doing field work on the turtle project). Day 29: "Uh-oh" (Yeah, I think this is self-explanatory)

Inktober Day 28 — Camping

Almost done with the month! And I’ve still gotta catch up for the day I missed. Sadly I’m also working tomorrow (and I had to work late today which is why I couldn’t catch up yet). So I’ll have to do it either tomorrow afternoon or on the very last day. Wish me luck!

Now onto the drawing: I’m not sure what it is about white outlines, but recently I’ve found them pretty cool to draw. Especially here, where there’s meant to be a sort of glow caused by the campfire. I don’t really have a story behind who the characters are, I just kind of wanted to make the scene about two people. They could be close friends or a couple, whichever you think. It was also cool to draw the camp fire itself, though I kind of got carried away with the flames. Makes me think of my day 5 drawing. :)
