IS IT WORTH IT TO CONFESS TO SOMEONE YOU GENUINELY LIKE??!!! I’m a girl. And he’s my friend for 8 years!!!!!!!
The unbearable pain of being in love with a friend who’d rather be a stranger when they feel you getting closer
Why
You make me feel everything but yet you can't emit you love me...like I do.
It kills me when you say another girl is pretty.
There's a certain kind of long mixed with pain that occurs when your start falling for someone you met but are becoming just friends in their eyes. It's that tension of I want them, they are right next to me, I could just lean over and kiss them, but I would ruin everything. It's horribly addicting. I've had it way too long in my life. Loving from afar, but your right here.
Its scary that it took me 6 years to realize we aren't meant to be
Kate The Great
Years ago I met my kindred spirit. Her beauty transcends all bounds of time, space, and style. Her spirit is unbridled....she is like a hippie fae. I love her. She is one of my very best friends. We click on every level possible from music to politics...to being chatty and understanding deep issues. We were both battered women and both very untrusting...except to each other. We just go well together.
I fell in love with her after a year of being close friends. I dont mean I fell in love with her like, oh she's like a sister. I mean, I fell for her. Hard. I wanted to be with her so badly....it hurt. Sometimes, it still does.
We'd kissed in the past...made out. Touched. Never had sex...unfortunately. I asked her out once...but, she knew what I was doing. So, I just confessed to her that I was in love with her. It wasnt as terrible as I thought it would be...the let down, of course. We're still as close as ever.
When she got engaged to a man, a wonderful man....I couldnt have handpicked a better one....I was devastated. Although, I knew it was going to happen eventually. I wanted to be happy for her and I was...in a way. Since I am married to a man....how could I not be? How could I be upset. But, my heart broke. I cried....bitter tears. I am glad she is happy with the man she is with but, sometimes I close my eyes and think of how soft her lips are....how smooth and silky her skin is. Her beautiful eyes. I wonder what it would be like to wake up every day next to her. I guess, I'm jealous of her husband....kinda.
It still hurts. I dont know what this has popped up for me today but, it has so, I am just writing about it to get it off my mind. She said, "If I were going to be with any woman, it would be you." And I suppose, I should've just taken that as the most gentle way to let me down but, it still hurts all this time later.
I've had one real girl friend in my life when I was younger. That was a bizarre experience and sometimes, I wish I hadnt gotten married so early. That I would've explored that side of myself more. But, really....out of all the women I've met in my life....all the dates I've had...or girls I even fooled around with....I feel like Kate would be it for me.
I miss her. Havent seen her in a while. Maybe that's why all this is flooding back to me. I promised myself I would never fall in love with a friend and I had been successful up until she cam breezing into my life with her peace, love, and rock n roll mantra. Her long gorgeous chestnut blonde hair, neon blue eyes, and 1000 watt smile. *sigh*
Oh well....
