‘ no! ‘ she screams, already bursting into a run. the house assists by making a ramp up into a small space near the ceiling, the ramp disappearing as she runs up it. diving into the space, she scoots through dust on her hands & butt, pressing herself instantly against the wall & shaking. she stares, wide-eyed & terrified, only her eyes & the top of her head visible to him. ‘ no! ‘
