Beltaine: Moving Outward from the Sacred Center
We are now in the season of Beltaine, which occurred on May 1st. I would like to share what my experience with this beautiful season has been so far in hopes that it may resonate and help others navigate this time period (which lasts until the Summer Solstice on June 21st). For me, this season tends to revolve around the themes of:
Stepping outside of my comfort zone. Beltaine season nudges me to expand beyond the known and familiar, take risks, and put myself out there more.
Forward motion. This season compels me to take inspired action and stay out of stagnation. It teaches me how to work with the energy of momentum; how to move with the natural ebbs and flows of life, into and out of action and rest modes – without pushing or forcing, which only blocks the momentum.
Getting clear on what is truly most important to me and structuring my life around those things: what brings me true joy? What purpose do I choose to serve in my life?
Basking in the healing rays of the sun. Celebrating the returning light and rejoicing as each day gets a little longer than the one before it – I have found this simple appreciation to be a beautiful way to heal my own inner masculine energy; the wounds of inertia, powerlessness, and fear of what others think.
Owning my power. The ways that I give my power away to other people and outside circumstances are clearly pointed out to me at this time. I am called to take back my power and affirm that I create my reality. And, most importantly, I am reminded to root myself in the place where my true power resides…
My inner center. The sacred union place of all polarities – masculine and feminine, light and dark. The place of stillness. The present moment.
