If you simply see the wave, it is impermanent.

If you look deep into it and you can find the ocean, it is eternal.

The eternal is not permanent, the eternal is beyond time.

'Permanent' means staying longer in time; but what does it matter whether you are a sannyasin for one day or one year or one thousands years - what does it matter? The impermanent is impermanent - one day, one year, one thousand years.

Seek something which is beyond time. Then once it is there you know: it has always been there, and it will be always there. The eternal is your innermost nature, SWABHAVA. It is your innermost being.

What is a beautiful man, to me? A beautiful man is he who cares about the right things in life. It is he who finds joy and solace in the small things, and is proud of every accomplishment and every failure because he knows that only from failure will he learn to be a better man. A beautiful man is not ashamed to have moments of weakness, and acknowledge them for what they are. He is beautiful because he is human and not afraid to admit to ignorance of many things for he knows, as a human being, he does not know it all for if he did there would be nothing left to learn, hence, nothing left to share. A beautiful man recognizes a broken heart, and that hearts will always break no matter how hard he tries to avoid it. He will break hearts, and respect and acknowledge the pain he causes others; as he will acknowledge and expect the same respect when his heart, in turn is also broken. A beautiful man hungers for knowledge of the unknown, and recognizes the meaning and representation of his own "humanity" and that of others. He is not tolerant, but understanding. He is not a puzzle that wants to be deciphered, he just is. And, because he "is"..., he is beautiful to me. What is a beautiful man to you?
