Terminus. Sanctuary for all.
"Sanctuary, my ass." The words came to Sade's mind before she could even stop herself. The place looked like a prison from the outside and held a cult-like air around them, and it didn't sit well in Sade's chest. That and knowing that anyone who was without a place might have gone that way she felt a sudden fear for those she had met on the road.
Not Aaron, no. He was fine on his own, and honestly she didn't care. He wasn't stupid enough. But Carl. And his father. There was a reason the kid was so quiet aside from his father, and she remembered him mentioning a Glenn, and so when she had seen "Glenn go to Terminus" in blood she had a feeling in her gut.
So, she had started off that way, not sure what she'd find exactly, but nothing about this had sat well with her. Sanctuary in the apocalypse? Bullshit.
Ending up there she hadn't really expected Gareth to be the way he was, nor had she intended them to come across as so...welcoming.
So, she played along at first. She saw no one she recognized so there was no reason to believe they had arrived, so she wasn't about to throw it out there bluntly. "Do...has anyone else come through? Like...a kid?" She asked one night when she was pushing her food around her plate, her appetite not really there for the time.
They looked at her as if she had stumbled upon something and then shook their heads slowly, going back, but Sade didn't feel easy just leaving it there. So, she excused herself, feeling like she needed to look into this more, that she was on to something.
Looking over her shoulder as she started off she made note of who was there and who wasn't, because that signified who was on watch. She hadn't picked up on names yet, but she had seen faces, and that was good enough. So, as she disappeared around corners, she wondered what was going on here.
She had been walking for what seemed like too long, but that was when she saw it. The outline and the coloring, and she shook he head, coming closer to it, reaching out to touch it.
"Stop." The voice sent a shiver down her spine and she turned to look at the brunette who ran the place. Gareth. A name you didn't hear often, easy enough to remember. "What do you think you're doing all the way out here?"
He ran his tongue over his teeth as he thought about it, and then looked to the man beside him who held a gun. "Really? Just looking? Do you want to see the inside, too?"
The inside? That sounded like a safe thing, but at the same time, what was in there? Swallowing she shook her head a bit.
"Well, if you don't want to see the inside then we'll just have to shoot you, Soldier." Well. Looking at the box car she swallowed and then nodded a bit. "So are you going to get in there?"
Nodding a little bit Sade walked over to the car and up the stairs, stepping into the boxcar and looking at the people inside and finding herself a way to the nearest to the wall watching them carefully, eyeing each of them not recognizing them.
