After re-playing Jaw of Hakkon, I really wish there was a scene near the end where you talk to your romance or Cassandra and your three advisors about Ameridan and how everything this guy was—his race, his religion, his magic, even the woman he loved—was stripped from him. And the Chantry made him into their Inquisitor, their hero. If you're an elf/qunari/dwarf inquisitor, you should've had a scene about this because one day that will be you. The moment you and your romance and your companions are long gone, everything about your Inquisitor will be rewritten, and your non-human Inquisitor should've had a scene voicing those fears because what's the point of being this big important person in a position of power if in the end you'll end-up just like Ameridan?

It really is so weird how none of the non-human companions in DAI let you bond with them about being non-human. The Iron Bull insults Adaar for thinking they’re Qunari, and then when your character claims the Tal-Vasoth title, he belittles you for it.

Solas and Sera insult Lavellan’s culture and religious beliefs, and rejects the player for trying to talk to them about being elven.

And while Varric isn’t as hostile to Cadash as the others are, it is very clear that he harbours his own insecurities and the game doesn’t let you have any lines at all about it, save in the beginning when you are identified as Carta, and that is it. Save some lines about «real dwarves» in Hissing Wastes.

It is just. Such an odd choice. And makes me sad for the non-human pc’s.

Inquisitor Appreciation Week

In August we will get back to the last Dragon Age hero, that as not their fully own event (shoutout once more to @rookappreciationweek!) And this last hero is of course our Inquisitor from Dragon Age Inquisition.

Just like with the Warden, Warden Commander, and Hawke, we will celebrate the Inquisitors of Thedas. Like always, this is an event for fanwork featuring your Inquisitor. That means this is a call for fanart, fanfiction, aethetics, stimboards, gifs... Whatever you want!

We have Rules of course, but I feel most of you already know the rules for this: no stealing, no AI, works posted will have to be new. And so on.
