not going to be super elaborate when it comes to my choices of clothing design for characters, because i sometimes draw them the way they are because they look cool. but, the reason why i drew dorian with something that doesn’t resemble his starting armor, was because it’s more of a visual storytelling element, with him becoming more accustomed to the south (well, getting used to it with as much as he can). there’s still pretty tevinter-ish traits with the giant cloak with the snake scales that resembles to one that he wears in the game, a snake pendant, and even tiny snakes on his doublet. but it’s general style is southern. it’s a clash between him and where he’s from, and then, the setting. where he currently ends up in the story. it’s practical but it’s still him with his giant collar being a pretty big component with his character design, with how he accessorizes, and the overall attire, still contains his maximalism (but simplified). also the sword. i don’t like how dai took away how your mages can be fatigued when they use up all their mana, so his sword is like a secondary weapon for cases when he’s not doing magic

I had an entire section about the armor I have Solas in but it was apparently just TOO SEXAY for Tumblr and got me hit with a mature content label. So alas, I'm reposting without all of that sexay, smexy Elf-in-yellow-tartan-like-goodness. I'm so sorry, friends. I tried.

No, for real. Somewhere, Tumblr's automatic content zapper had to retire to its fainting couch over Solas in that armor.

Anyway, I went through and gave everybody the best armor, stats-wise, I could and I think that Blackwall is EATING in this gear:

Don't threaten me with a good time, game, you know Mahanon can't actually romance Cullen! (Did not take the option.)

However, we can romance Dorian... in the next playthrough! I'm romancing my boo-thang Cassandra this time but I'm going ahead and flirting with Dorian and planning on using Skyhold as my place to return back to (or thereafter, depending on when Cassandra actually lets me flirt with her again, lol) to do an abbreviated run for Dorian's romance. (Took the option. 😉)

So far, Boo-thang has only given me this one chance to flirt and then she gave me the "Cassandra disapproves" after that, lol! Harsh, babe, HARSH. Mahanon and I aren't that slick, I know, but did we really deserve to get hit with the disapproval button like that? *sniffle*

Heh, I know she disapproves of you flirting at the start. Boo-thang has enough issues to start her own magazine but that's okay, we're patient! And, um, apparently okay with flirting with Dorian in the meanwhile? 😬

I mean, I know you can actually flirt with everyone your character is able to flirt with and then eventually you'll just be told to make a choice but that makes me SO UNCOMFY I can't even tell you! I'd have to craft a character that specifically either is a massive flirt or who just really hopes that the Inquisition is down with polyamory. Which, you know, would actually be pretty cool but yeah, okay, that's not the way the game goes. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯😉

I never changed Herah's horse from the first one she got so for Mahanon I decided to be more adventurous! So far, I really like the Avvar War Nug:

I named her Nugget (shockingly original name, yep 😂) and she's very cool! 😎💖 We even outran some dragonlings together! 🤗

Also, this time I am NOT shocked to find dragons in my Dragon Age and I also know to not try to fight a Level 12 dragon with Level 8 people, lol! I'm learning, look at me go, yay for me! 🥳💃🎉

Brown Eyes for Dorian - Mod

I recently came to known about @stonesense's Brown Eyes for Josephine and Dorian mod for DAI, then later saw someone on Twitter lament the fact no one made that mod's counterpart for Veilguard. That post inspired me to do that myself, which may be the first recorded case of something good coming out of being on Twitter.

This should be compatible with any Dorian mods on nexus (including anything that changes his hair or outfits).

Took some liberties with events in inquisition. Dorian and Sebastian Trevelyan (Inquisitor) CW for mentions of blood 355 words.

Sebastian gritted his teeth, hard. The subtly cracking in his head followed by a shooting pain through his skull was nothing to the searing burn from his left arm. Or what was left of it after Solas took it. The bleeding held back by whatever magic Solas possessed.

However, once the elf was gone, the magic vanished and the stump just below his elbow, began to ooze crimson. Stumbling to his feet, blood coating his his armor from the chest down to his thighs. Squeezing his left arm as tight as he could, strength waning with each plus of his slow beating heart.

"INQUISITOR!" Grateful to finally hear a familiar voice. His voice, at least, would be the last he would hear.

Dorian came into view, trailed by Cassandra and Varric. If he wasn't about to bleed to death, he would have teased Dorian for the frightful look on his handsome face. As Sebastian fell to his knees, Dorian fade stepped, appearing directly in front of him, on his knee.

"Amatus, what the bloody hell happened?" Sebastian gave him a weary smile.

"I made a bad call…lost a hand."

"Sebastian. This is not funny."

"I'm…sorry." The last word barely left his lips before he collapsed into Dorians arms.

Cassandra was by their side, instructing Dorian to lay the inquisitor down. Compressing his arm right above his elbow. Cassandra twisted the wrapping and pulled tight, causing the inquisitor to groan.

"We must burn the wound or he will never make it back." Dorian looked down at his amatus.

Eyes half lidded, skin growing paler with every passing moment. They needed to move quickly.

"Forgive me, amatus. This is going to hurt, okay?" Sebastian groaned his response.

Cassandra held Sebastian down on the right-side of his body while Varric held his legs. Dorian nodded as his fingers began to heat, pressing his palm into the fresh wound. An agonizing wail penetrated the air. Something Dorian wished to never hear come from his love ever again.

Still, his heart was tremendously grateful to know there was still strength in his body to let out such aguish. To know he still lived.

Does DAI tell us anything about the process Alexius and Dorian used to invent time magic? I'm pretty sure the answer is no, but please correct me if I'm wrong
