oh my god, kestrel ;; that’s really such a beautiful thing to say. I miss you! I’m sad you’re so burnt out with the fandom but there’s a lot of nonsense and I understand that. that’s such a compliment though, considering I respect your style of writing too

HE HAD NOT ever taken the revelation of her sickness as a reason to express scorn. Indeed; he is no stranger to side-eyed looks, to questions as to whether he could or couldn’t, would or wouldn’t. Zevran weaved methodically through Maiwe’s hair, turning it in intricate patterns. She sat at the foot of her bed, thumbing through a book, occasionally leaning into Zevran’s tugging.

“What kind of pattern are you using?” 

Her question gave Zevran a moment of pause. He did suppose having nothing to do all day but sit around and braid each other’s hair would lead the Dalish to some things, but in the alienage, braiding was for convenience. 

“This pattern, it symbolizes my desire for cocoa and women with huge, swaying breasts.”
