The night was young, the sky having barely darkened at around 9 pm, and the surroundings were both lively and quite deserted. Lively due to the constant flux of luxury cars that pulled in and out of the small street, to either drop or pick up important looking fellows. Deserted due to the apparent lack of residential in what had to be the first semi-suburban area about 30 kms away from Tokyo. Which was curious, considering the neighborhood actually looked pretty nice, by most standards.
When she emerged from her own ride, a few assistants already came to her aid; one opened the door, another took her hand to help her stand and a third handed her a small purse. Finding her companion for the night wasn’t difficult; among most people around the entrance, he was the one looking most miserable, despite the suit or the hairdo. A small part of her took slight satisfaction in his discomfort, but at least now they somewhat matched. Despite being covered by a long sleeve, knee-length, soft coat, it was obvious she too was dressed to the nines.
“Hero Eraserhead~” she greeted him within earshot with a vague smile, scanning him up and down. “Although you do not resemble him at all this fine evening. So perhaps let’s keep things on a simple name basis? On both sides.” the intricacies of the formal addressing were still a bit confusing to her. Yes, she was the one supposed to adapt to the culture, but considering she was the one directly sponsoring their affairs... well, that gave her a bit of leeway in how she wish to address and be addressed in conversation.
“Hellhole? I’m insulted, you’ve no idea how difficult is to procure an invitation to these kinds of events as a foreigner.” she waved a hand dismissively. “A little gratitude for rubbing elbows with the finest, my good sir~”
Without giving it much time to protest, her arm swiftly linked around his, slender fingers lightly tugging at the fabric of his sleeve as she urged him to move within the establishment. As she did so, the wide sleeve of her coat rode up to her elbow, revealing the skin tight, black sheen pellicle that covered her hand. Latex.
“We’re enjoying a theater play tonight.”
