S12 of SPN starts with the cosmically ordained resurrection of a woman who never saw her baby sons grow up ... and ends with the cosmically ordained death of a woman who never gets to see her own baby son grow up.

Both women's firstborn sons are forced to prematurely age in their own ways to protect themselves and their family. All three sons meet their mothers again in adult bodies and their mothers have to shoulder the loss of childhoods they never got to see while the children mourn the childhoods they never had.

The first woman attends the labor of the second woman. She does not prevent the second woman's death in childbirth but she does promise to help the woman's son grow up safe.

The first woman does indeed protect the second woman's firstborn son until she is killed accidentally by the second woman's son two years later. (But only after her own orphaned sons who never had a childhood decide to raise him as their child.)

The first woman's firstborn son tries to kill the second woman's son in retribution for her death. Even though the second woman's son has by now become the first woman's son's son.

Literal God tells him to pull the trigger. He doesn't. He says no to Literal God.

So God kills the second woman's son instead. God laughs.

One year later, all three sons destroy God.

This is a show that happened.

On our TVs.

And they expect us to be normal about it. Lol.

PS. This version of the story doesn't include Cas because he's the one who wasn't/couldn't be written by Chuck and he didn't have a mother. Chuck was obsessed with parents losing or killing their children and vice versa and all of the above. Cas lives outside all of that and it's why his story as a parent is a whole other (kinder and more joyful and FREE) story.

Insert this somewhere and change everything: 'The angel who promises to be the second woman's son's father is killed in front of his partner, the first woman's son', but eventualllly the second woman's son brings back the first woman's son's partner who is his DAD. The dad he CHOSE. And from there Cas takes a hard left from any other Chuck plans for parents and children.
