Little pan across the lep wall
Spicebush swallowtail! + a little tour of the lepidopteran stairwell so far. That empty glass will be full of native leps when I can get my hands on some dry milkweed. There may or may not be a cecropia and a sweetfern underwing on the way ',:」
I take a speed run style approach to painting these and the decrease in time for each is scaring my friends
All of the replicas for the exhibit so far (7/14)
The hercules beetle is done!!!
My three foot long dynastes hercules replica, which took me a little over a month to make. I am SO happy with this!!
Really loving the head and thorax so far (did you know the top horn grows out of the back, and the bottom horn is on the beetle's face?)
The exhibit is open!🦋
It's so exciting to actually have my own art exhibit!! These will be up for the public to admire until August 27th :)
This is what bug autism looks like
Only thing left to sculpt is the mouth and tarsi (+filling in a large gap between the body parts on the underside that I left for faster drying) so excited to be almost done with clay
