Solangelo fanfiction idea: Beauty
Will knew he was handsome, objectivly. He was always told he has "such a handsome boy" by adults and as the son of Apollo (the god of male beauty) it was no supprise that he attracted quit a bit of romantic interest as he grew up. But he found beauty could be found in quit diffrent forms and sometimes people were so consumed by what they thought to be beautiful that they couldn't see true beauty if it was right in front of them. Best example: Nico di Angelo.
Will thought Nico to be very handsome in an adorable way. His boyfriend was cute with his big brown eyes, his shy smile and flushed cheeks. Will liked to tell him that but Nico did not think he was serious. The son of Hades did not see himself as beautiful or attractive in any way, in fact he seemed unable to fandom anyone seeing him like that. It hurt Will a bit when his lover spoke so lowly of himself
It did not help that at the beginning of their relationship Nico did not match the typical beauty standard and sometimes people still avoided him because of his looks and his aura. The Aphrodite cabin tended to be very vocal about such things and Will began to hate them a bit for it. How could no one see what he did? Nico wasn't a demon but an Angel, it even was in his name! Nico could handle himself of course but Will knew that the stange looks and comments hurt his boyfriend. Worse of all was when some of Wills' admirers cornered Nico to tell him he wasn't good enought for Will. What son of Apollo could be seen with a child of the underworld? That Will had rejected all of them in favour of Nico seemed to drive them insane.
That day Nico had cracked and Will found his boyfriend curled up in bed, crying silently. He just held Nico and assured him with sweet words while boiling on the inside.
But as the years went by something changed. Nico grew taller, his pale skin tanned and went back to a glowing olive complaction, his smile became even more charming with every day, his hair grew softer and curled slightly at the edge making him resembled a princess in Wills opinion. The training also paid off as Nico grew stronger and Will found himself staring more often then not. Now the roles more or less switched. Will wasn't ugly but sometimes he felt insecure standing next to Nico, who besides turning out to breathtakingly handsome was also increadable powerful. Hades had made his son his ambassator and crowned him when Nico turned 18. The news seemed to attrack even more people to Nico.
The son of Hades was one of the most desired batchlors in both camps but refused any and every advance. But it bothered Will that at ever turn people fell over themself to hit on his lover, sometimes even right infront of him, even though it was well known that they were dating for years. One day Nico came home from a mission and found Will sitting on their bed staring at the wall. Now it was Nico who assured Will lovingly.
