I just want to haul more of my friends into playing this. XD
Tumblr is absolutely refusing to let me answer asks (or delete them) so I'm doing it here JUST IN CASE it ate my ask to mortior! I did actually ask Mortior if they wanted to be on the DirkHal team or even Alpha Stridercest -- since on bonus rounds, people just fill anything except their own ship, so no matter what you sign up for, you get to fill for all sorts of ships -- but I haven't had a reply from them yet so I think tumblr might've eaten it.
TOTALLY pester them though! It's always really flattering to be asked to join something and it's fun to feel wanted. Seriously, I can't overstate how cool I would find it if someone asked me to join something. XD Since I'm an organize-y type person, though, I'm usually the one roping everyone else into stuff. ^^;;
YOU GET AN F. AND YOU GET AN F. I didn't get to see the scores so I don't actually know who won but either way, an Earth that gets its fate decided via DDR matches is doomed. :P
His brother stood in front of him, hat shading his eyes, one arm lazily resting on the hilt of his katana. A wicked smirk painted his face as he got ready to strife with Dave.
The two brother stood on the roof, gazing at each other in apprehension. Neither of them made any move to start strifing.
Finally, sick of waiting, Dave dove forward, slashing his sword. Bro easily flashstepped to the side, leaving dave stumbling forward slightly. The younger boy gritted his teeth and swung backwards, only to miss again. His brother let out a deep chuckle.
"Gonna have to do better than that little man," he taunted, raising his own sword. He struck at Dave, and Dave parried the attack easily.
This continued onward for several minutes. The two brothers dodged, parried, slashed, and struck at eachother, persperation dripping down their faces and expressions set in a determined grimace. The sun was beginning to set, bathing the entire area in a warm orange glow.
Dave continued to attack desperatly, this expression growing more and more exhausted by the second. Bro smirked, but his movement was becoming more erratic and slow. The sun glinted off of his triangular shades.
Suddenly, Dave growled in frustration. The sound threw the older brother off guard, and quick as a flash, Dave struck. His katana flashed against the white shirt that the older strider was wearing, and suddenly, a burst of crimson appeared on Bro's torso.
Bro's eyes widened behind his shades as he sunk to his knees, one hand against his side where the blood was beginning to flow. He looked at Dave in shock, and suddenly, his face contorted into a pained smile.
"Good job lil man, you finally got me,"
Dave stood there in shock, unable to process what had just happened. His brother lifted his hand from the wound to reveal a large cut that scissored across his side, gushing blood. He groaned slightly, and started chuckling.
"You got me good,"
Dave snapped out of his stupor, and dove down to his knees, panicking. His heart was racing as he took in the wound.
"Bro! Shit man, I'm so sorry! We gotta get you to a goddamn hospital!" Dave said, his voice tinged with panic. His coolkid facade cracked almost instantly as he struggled to keep his voice level.
Bro put on a pround smile and placed his hand on top of Dave's head. He couldn't care less about the injury now, he was bursting with pride at Dave's accomplishment.
Dave's first words, first steps, and now his first blood.
