Filter Design
so the For our water filter, we took a different approach to have the clearest water.
We used a Sprite bottle for the base and the linen to cover the top, then instead of doing the traditional way of sand close to the linen, we flipped this so our layering was sand, coal, gravel, with cotton balls closest to the linen so the sand wouldn’t come through. Then, we layered it like this twice so the water would really filter.
First, we were going to do only one layer but then we realized that might not be enough for the turbidity to reach the needed score.
